- Project planning and tender offer of a foam extinguishing system for the oil filling plant
- Replanning and tender offer of the supply of fire water
- Construction monitoring, approval and commissioning of the extinguishing system
- Training of the operating personnel
Characteristics of the project
- Heavy and medium foam extinguishing system, tank sprinkling system
- 8,000 m³ storage volume of the oil tanks
- 6,000 m³ storage volume of the tank basin
- 7 extinguishing areas
Since the system designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser is in a densely built-up urban area , the conversion of the oil filling plant and the adaptation of two tanks for the storage of extra light heating oil posed a special challenge for preventive fire protection. The fire risk at the Spittelau site was reduced to a minimum with the project planning of an automatic foam extinguishing system for the interior of the tanks and the tank basin, a redundantly executed early fire detection system as well as a sprinkling system for the cooling of the tank shell.
