Characteristics of the project

The Mosser company is one of the largest glued wood and timber suppliers in Europe. The pronounced quality awareness of the company is also reflected in the safety area, which is why HOYER Brandschutz (formerly Sprinklerplan) was commissioned with the planning of a sprinkler system.

The sprinkler system was integrated in the existing, operational sawmill. Due to the high risk of frost, the decision was made to install a dry sprinkler system. HOYER Brandschutz prepared current fire protection plans for the existing glued wood plant.

Due to the lack of suitable layout specifications for wood sorting plants in Austria, which only permits a lateral configuration of sprinkler heads, HOYER Brandschutz consulted the guidelines of the worldwide insurance company FM Global.
