Characteristics of the project
For Lenzing AG's 15 hydraulic oil containers, HOYER Brandschutz (formerly Sprinklerplan) compared different extinguishing systems; the most effective and economic fire-fighting solution finally turned out to be a water vapour extinguishing system.
In the four extinguishing areas of the hydraulic oil containers, the utilised high-pressure water vapour extinguishing system simultaneous ensures the cooling, inertisation (i.e. avoiding an inflammable atmosphere by displacing oxygen in the air) as well as a corresponding extinguishing effect.
