Characteristics of the project

In planning the fire-protection for Intersport Austria, HOYER Brandschutz (formerly Sprinklerplan) decided on a wet sprinkler system with added anti-freeze due to the risk of frost and of the great volume of pipes in the high-rack warehouse.

Another challenge was found in the area of the caroussel storage warehouse of Sport Eybl & Sports Experts GmbH, which works fully automatically and only has little room for the supplementary installation of a sprinkler system. The neighbouring high-rack warehouse was equipped with an ESFR sprinkler system that requires no sprinkler pipes in the shelf levels. Assembly took place largely at night and thus did not disrupt the ongoing storage operations.
