Characteristics of the project

At the General Motors site in Vienna-Aspern, GM Powertrain Europe's largest manufacturing plant of motors and gearboxes, production has been ongoing for 25 years. Around 27 million motors and gearboxes have come out of the plant in Vienna-Aspern since 1982, making it one of the most productive General Motors Powertrain production sites anywhere.

HOYER Brandschutz (formerly Sprinklerplan) was responsible for the planning of a sprinkler system in the gearbox and motor manufacturing plant. Beyond this, the fire-fighting expert also took on the planning of all supply routes and media connections as well as the design of the pipeline suspensions.
